Congratulations to senior AJ McCandlis for being selected for the 2023 AHSCA basketball All-Star game. Contests will be held June 24th at UCA.

Congratulations to the Viola Longhorns Jr High fishing team for recently winning the Greers Ferry Lake tournament and currently sitting in 13th place. Team members are 7th graders Rhett Robbins and Mattix Rowden.

Just a reminder that on Monday, April 24th, Save the Children will be hosting a Family Game Day from 1:00p.m.-3:00p.m. in the safe room at the elementary school. Looking forward to spending the afternoon with everyone.

Lady Longhorn Update Big day at the plate for these two Longhorns!! Haylee Crotts hit two home runs and Cheyenne Newberry hit her first career home run!! Congrats ladies!! Viola swept Rural Special 22-0 and 18-3 in the double header. The girls really hit the ball hard today. Earlier this week AJ McCandlis was honored at the ArBCA Top 5 banquet. AJ was voted by coaches across the state as one of the top 5 1A basketball players in the state.

Kindergarten talked about how and where artists work, and not all artists sit at tables. Then we spread out all over the art room floor and did really BIG art pieces!

Todays baseball games have been cancelled.

Due to the threat of inclement weather, todays softball games against Rural Special will begin at 1:00.

Fridays baseball game against Calico Rock will be played at Viola.

The Viola High School robotics team, Mechanically Challenged will be competing on Friday and Saturday at the Green Country Regional in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Just a reminder that Viola Public Schools will be dismissing early tomorrow at 1:00.

The Elementary Quiz Bowl tournament in Melbourne got canceled on Wednesday due to weather, but the kids managed to get to spend the morning playing a few games against each other and having snacks. It was still a fun day!

Softball Games Update Todays ballgames have been rescheduled for April 20th. The ballgames originally scheduled for Friday will be played tomorrow, April 6th. The softball games originally scheduled for April 18th have been moved to April 13th. All original locations have not changed. The baseball game scheduled for today will be played, starting at 3:00. There Will Not be a JV game played today.

ACT Aspire testing will begin later this month. Grades 9 and 10 will test April 25-26. Grades 7 and 8 will test April 27-28. Grades 3-6 will test May 2-4. Testing will begin first thing in the morning and last until around 11:00.

Everyone remember that tomorrow, Wednesday, April 5th is spring picture day at Viola Schools.
