The ACT Aspire is a 4.5 to 5 hour online criterion-referenced assessment. This will be the sixth year that Arkansas has given the Aspire test. Parents will receive score reports which will provide information regarding each student’s individual progress over the last two years.

All students in Grades 3-10 are required to take the ACT Aspire Test for the 2021-22 school year. The subject areas that will be tested are Reading, Writing, English, Math, and Science.

What is the purpose of the ACT Aspire tests?

While state tests are not the only measurement used to determine how your child is doing, it does enable educators to compare how students are progressing over time.  This helps informs teachers on how to develop plans regarding student growth and learning loss, and the impact COVID has had on student learning.

What can you do to help your student do his/her best on the Aspire test?

  • Make sure your student gets a good night’s sleep.
  • A good breakfast on test day is fuel for the brain.
  • Arrive on time for the assessment.
  • Encourage your child to do his/her best.
